The world's oldest colour discovered
Ever wonder what the oldest colour in the world might actually be? A recent article published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) reveals that scientists have found the oldest "biological" colour: Bright pink.
Dr. Guneli from the Australian National University found molecules of ancient organisms from crushed billion-year-old rocks from West Africa. These pigments, which appear bright pink when diluted, were 500 million years older than the next oldest pigments.
