Universal colour-emotion associations: New article published in Psychological Science
In collaboration with researchers from 30 countries, we have investigated cross-cultural similarities and differences in colour-emotion associations. Our new article, published in Psychological Science, revealed universal patterns in colour-emotion associations. The similarity in colour-emotion associations was further improved in countries that were geographically closer or spoke linguistically related languages. These results suggest that affective meaning of colour is shared across the globe.
