Four colour presentations at the Swiss Psychological Society Conference!
It is our pleasure to announce that Déborah Epicoco, Dr Domicele Jonauskaite, Giulia Spagnulo and Nizar Michaud will represent our colour research group at the Swiss Psychological Society Conference 2022, in Zürich 4-6 September.
Domicele Jonauskaite has organised a symposium gathering presenters from two different universities - University of Lausanne and University of Vienna with speakers at different career stages. The symposium is entitled “From Explicit to Implicit Colour-Emotion Associations Across Cultures“. In the symposium, there are four talks, all related to colour and affect
Colour-emotion associations in 73 populations: Taking a critical look at universality of colour-emotion associations (Jonauskaite, Vowels, et al.)
Colour-emotion associations across adulthood: Studying adults between 18 and 88 years old (Epicoco et al.)
The impact of current mood on conceptual colour and emotions associations seems minor (Spagnulo et al.)
A comparison of implicit colour-valence associations between Chinese and German speakers (Kawai et al.)
Nizar will present a poster entitled “Colour matching to affective vocal bursts: When lightness and chroma are more important than hue “. He coded and programmed the whole experiment and now has the opportunity to present his work.
The SPS conference is the first conference of Nizar and the first talk of Giulia. We wish them the best experience!
The symposia will take place on September 6th, in room AND-2-06 and the poster will be on September 5th, in room AND-MALL. You can find the full conference program here.
