Sun is no fun without rain: New article in the Journal of Environmental Psychology studying 55 countries
Our team in collaboration with 60 authors from 55 countries have published a new article entitled “The sun is no fun without rain: Physical environments affect how we feel about yellow across 55 countries” in the Journal of Environmental Psychology. The article tested the hypothesis that physical environments, in particular climate, affects how one makes affective meaning of colour. We reported that participants who came from warmer countries (i.e., those located closer to the equator) as well as rainier countries were more likely to agree that yellow is a colour of joy.
